Our Breeders' Workshop
I have found it difficult, even impossible to find and collate all the information necessary to keep at hand for breeding when it comes to the genetics of colour within rabbits. Colours can be confusing and it's easy to be bewildered by the jargon, patterns, distinctions of colour based on simple ticking and so forth. If you do feel anything is missing, please contact me and we can try to expand this section to collate all the information we are able to. Contact us via email, alternatively leave a comment on the guest book or blog.
If you're new to this, it's suggested that you start on the first page and move forward at your own pace. For the more experienced or those who have read and taken in all the information, hopefully it should be simple to dip in and follow the links below accordingly.
Before we start, I would like to give many, many thanks to my good friend Donna at Hartwin Stud for taking me initially through the basics and helping me collate information and in editing and providing photographs to complete this project. For fantastic mini lops, you must visit her site!
